What happens to my Medicare Advantage plan in 2027?
Enter the plan ID from your member card. This reports what CMS filed for your plan — whether it continues, ends, or moves you somewhere else — and nothing else. No sign-up, nothing stored, and nobody sells you anything.
What this lookup can tell you
Of the 5,049 2026 Medicare Advantage plans with enrollment, CMS filed:
- 744 terminated with no successor — those members must choose.
- 71 renewing, but dropping every county they were in — the same result, and they do not show up on any list of terminated plans.
- 680 renewing in some counties and leaving others. For these the answer genuinely depends on where you live, so the lookup asks for your county before it answers.
- 218 being consolidated into a successor — those members are moved on January 1 and need do nothing.
What it cannot tell you
- It does not cover standalone Part D drug plans, Medigap, or employer group coverage. Medicare Advantage and MA-PD only.
- It reports the CMS filing, not your own letter. Your plan must send you an Annual Notice of Change by September 30. If that letter and this page disagree, the letter is about your specific coverage — call the plan.
- Enrollment counts come from the CMS monthly file, and CMS suppresses any county-plan cell of 10 or fewer members, so a very small plan may show fewer members than it has.
- For a small number of plans consolidated in only part of their footprint, CMS records the consolidation but no successor for that county. The lookup says so rather than guessing a destination.
- It does not tell you which plan to pick. That is deliberate.
