The exception

Medicare covers a one-time 'Welcome to Medicare' preventive visit in your first 12 months on Part B, and a yearly Wellness Visit after that. These are NOT physicals — they review your health risks and build a prevention plan; the doctor does not examine you the way a physical would.

Can a Medicare Advantage plan cover this?

CMS plan files do not carry a benefit flag for this, so we have nothing filed to report. Ask the plan directly, and get the answer in writing before you rely on it.

What plans in your county filed

Every individual Medicare Advantage plan filed with CMS for your county, with the supplemental benefits each one reports. Reported, not recommended.

Before enrolling or making a coverage decision, confirm current details with the plan, Medicare.gov, your State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP), or 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227, TTY 1-877-486-2048). MedicareBenefits.care reports CMS-filed data and does not verify provider networks, pharmacy participation, or final plan terms.
